The Dog Travel Pros have been involved in dog related activities for 40 years (collectively over 70). We have bred and shown dogs where we use a variety of dog crates; raised and trained puppies using smaller dog crates, and traveled all over North America with our dogs, sometimes flying with the puppy in a pet carrier. We are willing to share what we know with others who also love dogs.

Carol has owned and bred many of the terriers in her forty years involvement with purebred dogs. She travels regularly to show her dogs in both the U.S. and across Canada. Her Airedales have been very successful in both countries. Her Airedales are companion dogs, obedience dogs, working dogs and show dogs. Families have returned for their fourth Airedale from Shawndee Kennels, over the many years Carol has been raising them. Carol has experience breeding, showing, and raising dogs and is willing to share her experience with others.

Carol is also a social worker with an interest in Persons with Special Needs. She teaches at the University of Winnipeg in the education department, and does private consulting on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Pets with people can improve any situation, as pets have improved the lives of families and especially seniors and people with special needs. Dogs are service dogs for people with exceptionalities such as Aspergers, Autism, loss of sight, and many other disabilities.
