If you plan to enroll your puppy in obedience or other performance sports, a soft-sided dog crate is ideal for this activity as this type of dog crate is light, easy to carry, and packs in your vehicle along with your luggage. You may want a wire dog kennel to leave in your vehicle to keep your dog safe while you travel, or a pet car seat instead of a dog crate. Collapsible dog crates are the most convenient if you travel and need to take an extra crate with you.
